FROM THE HIVE TO YOU

ABOUT US

Hidden Springs Farm, LLC is a family farm consisting of a husband and wife team. The farm consists of 109 acres in Williamson, Georgia. Our primary focus is for the farm to be so diversified that it is a self sustaining agriculture business. Back in 1994 we started the farm with 8 head of Brangus cattle and today we have over 100 head of commercial grade cattle. We also have our own pecan orchard on the property in which we harvest the nuts for retail sale. Back in 2000 we started our beekeeping experience when, Ray finally talked Donna into getting honey bees. Since our first hives we have grown to over 100 hives at any given time. We now offer Clover, Wildflower, and Kudzu honey, in addition we offer several other varieties, since we are always listening to our customers, we carry Orange Blossom, Tupelo, and Sourwood.   We are licensed from the Georgia Department of Agriculture. We also launched our queen operation in 2005. We produce what is known as an Italian queen and on average we can produce about 700 queens per season.

We are active members of the Coweta Beekeepers Association, Georgia Beekeepers Association, Tara Beekeepers Association and the Georgia Farm Bureau. In addition we subscribe to industry journals, Bee Culture and The American Beekeeping Journal. We presently hold the following positions in the Coweta Beekeepers Association treasurer and newsletter editor, we are a member of the Honey Bee Commodity Board for the Georgia Farm Bureau. We also give educational talks and presentations at our farm. If you would like to schedule a tour of our farm please e-mail or call us.

We strive to become a leader in the beekeeping industry by delivering quality honey and beeswax products. We listen to our customers’ requirements in order to fulfill their individual needs for local honey, raw honey, regional honey and beeswax products.

Here at Hidden Springs Farm we would love to have the privilege of selling you some of the world's greatest honey, but more importantly, we would like you to discover the huge importance of honeybees to the world and to each and every one of us. As honeybees are responsible for almost 2/3 of all fruits and vegetables produced, we should be more protective of this incredible insect.

Honeybees are in great danger. Not long ago, almost all wild honeybee nests were destroyed by a mite that kills the honeybee, and even now, the industry is facing new challenges with imported honey, new diseases, and corn syrup being blended with honey thus threatening the pure honey we sell. You can help by being committed to buying only local, 100% pure honey. Here we are committed to selling only the purest Georgia honey. Support the industry. Buy pure honey.
